The girls wanted to go somewhere new for brunch, so this place popped up as an option. I like places with a view of the harbor, and Pelican Isle looks inward on the boats docked in Huntington Harbor. We arrived early, one of the first tables, and the ladies were a little concerned that it looks too much like a sports bar with all the TVs (all playing sports of some sort). But the menu is full of standard breakfast fare and they both liked their design your own omelet. I thought it was a little pricey, with every add on an extra $1 charge or so, so a loaded omelet can easily break the $15 barrier. I had a Mexican scramble dish, asking for the egs in top and over medium so I could get the yolky goodness into the scramble.
The dishes were all ample, with sides and toast to fill any extra room. The bloody Mary I had was just OK, not all that spicy, but still drinkable. Overall, the food was good and the view out the window was nice. It looks like there are also lots of regulars there for their weekend brunch. -

Came in for brunch and brought my dog with us! Always love spots that let me bring my pup! We were sitting right by the harbor and it was a beautiful day out, great experience! We got the Calamari and the Coconut shrimp as and appetizer and both of them were pretty good! The portions were smaller than I thought they would be but still enough. I ordered a Turkey, Swiss and Avocado sandwich and that was also pretty good! The scenery is the best part about it but overall was still a great experience

Pelican isle is awesome!! The environment alone is so fun and entertaining! The interior is pretty cool, there's a ton of large fish and figures hanging all over the place. I really like how the bar is in the center if the place and how the side is completely open. At night they'll just shut the sides which is pretty and and cool. I've been here a few times but my absolute favorite has been in Saturday's when there's karaoke! It's so fun! Now the food is reallllly good too. I ordered the shrimp and steak skewers with veggies and rice. So good! Service took a little longer than anticipated but it's always a pleasant visit here!
